About Marmite Cinema
It is a generally accepted notion that films are the most important thing in the world ever. OK, maybe not generally accepted, but accepted. OK, maybe not accepted, but tolerated. Perhaps not tolerated either.
This is a blog about cinema and thus a blog about passion and about life. And, like life, the cinema is full of the best of times and worst of times. Will the next viewing experience transcend your soul to the realms of the divine and sublime, or it will csat you into the fires of boredom and aggression. This is marmite cinema watching, that love-it-or-hate-it pendulum the film fan must sit on the trully care about his chosen art form. It works like this:
At the Cinema: Reviews of recent releases, with Jar Ratings for ease and clarification of opinion.
Great Scenes in Great Movies: Closer analysis of moments in films that I consider to be important.
The Re-Evaluation: Where I take a film perhaps not traditionaly considered worth one's time and argue a case for it.
Listomatic Fun: Where I make lists of things because I've seen and identified with the main protagonist in High Fidelity
Anything else that springs to mind.
